Costs of naturopathic treatment

A naturopathic treatment is tailored to your needs. All methods/procedures are discussed and carried out with you. Before a consultation/treatment, I will inform you of the costs involved, which will be kept as low as possible!

Please note:

The fee between patient and alternative practitioner is subject to free agreement according to BGB (§§ 611-630)/German Civil Code.
The amounts listed in the GebüH/Fee Schedule for Alternative Practitioners are statistical averages from 1983 that have not been adjusted in recent decades.

Regardless of whether you are a self-payer or have private insurance, invoicing is based on the fee schedule for alternative practitioners (GebüH).
The agreed fee rate will be charged according to the service described by the GebüH - if there is no description of the service provided according to the GebüH, then
Billing can be done using an equivalent (analogous) service code, or alternatively other directories such as the Hufeland directory or the doctors' fee schedule (GOÄ) can be used. The agreed fee is binding and must be paid regardless of whether and to what extent the patient receives reimbursement from assistance agencies or private health insurance companies - many statutory health insurance companies offer supplementary insurance that includes reimbursement for the costs of services provided by alternative practitioners. It is therefore advisable to check in advance whether and to what extent services provided by an alternative practitioner are covered.

First appointment

Please allow approximately 1.5-2 hours for your first appointment so that we can go through your medical history, the medical history form, medication plan and any findings (laboratory, X-ray/MRI, clinical pre-diagnoses) together. After the findings have been collected, we will discuss your individual naturopathic therapy and carry it out after providing appropriate information (benefits, risks, limitations).

Follow-up appointment
Whether and how many appointments are necessary varies from individual to individual and also depending on the therapy approach:
Chiropractic:
I generally treat everything from head to toe and try to resolve all blockages in one appointment - however, depending on the cause or duration of the symptoms, follow-up appointments may be necessary.

Acupuncture:
Patients respond differently to acupuncture and, depending on the therapy approach, a single session is often not enough, so 6-10 sessions are recommended, but here too the treatment is always individual, so that rapid therapeutic success can be possible after about 3 sessions.
Experience shows that eye acupuncture often treats chronic diseases that initially require very intensive treatment: 2 weeks - 2 x daily - a total of 20 treatments.
Leech:
Two appointments are generally necessary for the initial anamnesis/interview, information and therapy.

Hypnosis/Coaching:
Depending on whether there is a medical indication or whether you want to get rid of old, annoying habits and replace them with new, positive and healthy ways of life, individual sessions or a small therapy unit may be necessary. Billing is done according to the fee or as a complete package price for self-payers.

Patients with statutory health insurance:

Statutory health insurance companies generally do not cover the costs of treatment by alternative practitioners.
This means that patients with statutory health insurance have to pay the costs of treatment themselves.

In addition to statutory health insurance, private supplementary insurance can be taken out that includes treatments by alternative practitioners. If such insurance exists, the insured person can pay the bill to the supplementary insurance

Depending on the tariff, this will reimburse the bill in full or at least in part.

Otherwise, the invoice may be submitted as a special expense in your tax return. Your

Tax consultant.

Privately insured patients:

Private health insurance companies cover the costs of treatment by alternative practitioners depending on the tariff taken out

in whole or at least in part. In case of doubt, it is advisable to contact the insurance company before treatment.

Please consult us. The invoice will be issued in accordance with the fee schedule for alternative practitioners (GebüH).

You can submit these to your private health insurance or assistance agency for reimbursement. The invoice is issued independently of reimbursement by the private health insurance or assistance agency.

Some treatments carried out by alternative practitioners are not reimbursed straight away. They are based on empirical medicine and are therefore in some cases considered "not officially recognized by science/conventional medicine". As alternative practitioners, we take a different view, as many natural treatments have proven effective for centuries without scientific recognition. Your health insurance company's view of "medical necessity" therefore does not always necessarily correspond to the treatment plan drawn up for you individually. Please also bear in mind that the current reimbursement rates are often calculated based on "minute medicine" and are not comparable to the time required in a naturopathic practice, which in many cases can take over an hour.

Please bear in mind that you may have to cover part of the costs yourself due to the high personal time commitment or a special treatment method. I will of course advise you accordingly.

You as the patient are the direct contractual partner and billing takes place after the treatment. EC card payment is preferred.

Compensation for non-cancellation / short-term cancellation of agreed appointments

The health and relaxation practice is an appointment-only practice. Since appointments can only be made by prior arrangement (by phone, in writing or via online appointment booking), we ask that you arrive on time for your appointments, as there is usually no waiting time.
Your appointment will be prepared individually and sufficient time will be scheduled for the treatment. If agreed therapy appointments cannot be kept, they must be cancelled by no later than 24 hours in advance (weekends and public holidays are not included). If your appointment cannot be rescheduled at short notice, I ask for your understanding that I will charge a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee cannot be submitted to health insurers for reimbursement.

Alternative practitioner supplementary insurance comparison

Since statutory health insurance companies generally do not cover the costs of alternative practitioners, if you visit them regularly, it is advisable to take out additional insurance that covers the costs of medical treatment with acupuncture, chiropractic, leeches, relaxation therapy, hypnosis and many other services provided by an alternative practitioner.
